Aftercare
Day 1-3
- Keep your bandage on for at least 2 hours. The longest it should be left on is overnight.
- When removing your bandage: first wash your hands with antibacterial/unscented soap, then rinse tattoo with warm water and pat dry with a clean paper towel.
- Apply a very thin layer of ointment (Aquaphor). Avoid using too much ointment can affect the healing process.
- The tattoo will have some redness, soreness, and slight heat for up to one week. If there are any abnormalities, please take photos and reach out!
- Wash with warm water twice a day (no soap)
Day 4-14
- The tattoo will begin to peel and flake, similar to a bad sunburn.
- Continue to wash with warm water twice a day (no soap)
- Switch to a mild unscented lotion (Lubriderm or coconut oil) instead of ointment.
- Don’t workout or sit in a sauna
- Don’t soak in water (ie. bath, hot tub, pool, beach, etc.)
- Don’t scratch
- Don’t sunbathe
Day 14-30
- For the best results, apply sunscreen.
- Don’t soak in water (ie. bath, hot tub, pool, beach, etc.)
- Don’t scratch
- Don’t sunbathe
Day 30
- Tattoos should be healed within a month, but this can vary by person, size, and details of the tattoo.
- Once healed, please take a photo under natural light and send it over!
